Iran has continued to launch ballistic missile barrages at Israel since ISW-CTP’s last data cutoff on March 2. Iran conducted at least four missile barrages targeting Israel between March 2 at 4:00 PM ET and March 3 at 8:00 AM ET. ISW-CTP did not observe any reports of impacts.

The IDF struck the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), the Presidential Office, and the Assembly of Experts building in Tehran. The SNSC is Iran’s highest national security and foreign policy decision-making body. The IDF also reportedly targeted an Assembly of Experts meeting in Qom, where the Assembly of Experts was convening to select the next Supreme Leader. The United States and Israel are seeking to foment an armed uprising inside Iran using a Kurdish fighting force, which has been built up since the Twelve-Day War in 2025, according to ITV News. Sources claim that since last year, weapons have been smuggled into Western Iran to arm thousands of Kurdish volunteers.
