Retired general and U.S. diplomat Mark Kimmitt says the White House isn’t obligated to help overthrow the Islamic Republic, even though some have called for regime change in Iran. He tells “NewsNation Prime” the U.S. may have to settle for the type of arrangement it has with Venezuela and Syria: “We’ve left the government in place, and we now have two governments that we can work with. Let’s hope the same thing can happen in Iran, whether it’s done through a moderate takeover by the people, or a more moderate regime 2.0.”
