There were those who urged us to stop working on the UNGA draft resolution “Support for lasting peace in Ukraine”. I said, “No, no steps back”. Because we have a lot of countries who support us.
Then, different partners proposed the text of resolution to us without two words: “Russian aggression”. I said, “No, this is Russian aggression”. If we don’t include that, people will forget it in two or three years.
The resolution received the support of 107 countries, and we are grateful to each of them, although projections had put the number at around 80 votes, not more.
We can’t let people and countries forget that in reality this is aggression against peaceful people.
