Nassau County police say nine teens were arrested during a “takeover” of the Green Acres Mall. Another two teens who allegedly lingered to shoplift were also arrested. Citizen video shows Nassau County police taking several young people into custody as hundreds of people, mostly teens, tried to get into the building. Officials say no one was injured. The mayhem that unfolded at the mall came after 18 people were arrested following a similar stunt at the Bay Plaza Mall in the Bronx on Presidents Day. Both events were spread across social media, encouraging kids to “takeover local malls until they got kicked out.”
