ASU 2016-14 is a new accounting standard put forth by the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), which promulgates U.S. accounting standards. ASU stands for Accounting Standards Update. ASUs are incorporated into the Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) which is also maintained by FASB.
