RT by @mikenov: ʀ ᴇ ᴛ ʀ ᴏ ᴍ ᴏ ᴏ ᴅ Before Dirty Dancing made him a household name, Patrick Swayze was already a trained dancer with the athleticism, discipline and a presence that would define his career. From The Outsiders to Road House and then Ghost, he proved he could do far more than play the romantic lead. There was a rather rare combination of strength and sensitivity about Swayze, and that was part of his appeal I think. He was a dancer, an action star, and a leading man who never quite fit into one category. He died in 2009 at just 57, but his presence on screen remains unmistakable and timeless. Thanks for the memories. We had the time of our lives.
