🇺🇦🇷🇺 Ukraine is building a missile aimed straight at Moscow
Ukrainian defense firm Fire Point says its new FP-9 is almost ready, and the chief designer isn’t being coy about where the first live one is headed.
It’s a homegrown ballistic missile with an 800 km reach, far enough to put Moscow and even St. Petersburg, Putin’s birth city, inside the strike zone.
The 800 kg warhead comes down fast, built to beat the air defenses ringing the capital that drones and cruise missiles can’t reliably crack.
By the company’s account it’s basically finished, with only the engine left to prove out.
Denys Shtilerman, the man designing it and co-owner of Fire Point, isn’t hiding the intent.
“We will test the engine this month and expect to begin test flights soon. As soon as a test flight shows that everything is working properly, the next flight should be launched toward Moscow.”
Russia has spent the war hammering Ukraine’s grid from behind its own borders. The FP-9 is Kyiv’s bid for the same reach in reverse.
