In my “crazy” opinion, this latest Louisiana shooting may be the response that my dear imaginary friend Mr. Elkind provided to my questions:

Do not confuse Mr. Elkind with Mr. Elkins, of the Pinetree variety: they are the distinct entities, although possibly related, something like the author and his creation, so to speak.“No, ziz iz not az!”, screams Mr. Elkind.

My interpretation of this response:
