During her first annual address, Anne Keast-Butler, Director of the UK’s Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ), stated that “nearly half a million Russian soldiers” have lost their lives since the start of the full-scale war in Ukraine.
It is noted that this marks the first time a senior British official has confirmed an estimate of Russian losses in Ukraine.
