Will deadly Israeli attacks in Lebanon shatter US-Iran ceasefire?

Israel has intensified its bombing campaign in Lebanon, prompting Iran to warn it could withdraw from the ceasefire agreed with the US. Hundreds have been killed since the agreement was announced, after Israeli forces launched mass strikes on densely populated areas. Israel says the strikes are aimed at the Iran-backed militant group Hezbollah, while Iran claims they are a blatant violation of the ceasefire. Iran and Pakistan claim the agreement included Lebanon, but Donald Trump called it ‘a separate skirmish’. Lucy Hough speaks to Beirut-based reporter William Christou – watch on YouTube . Al Jazeera Journalist Or Hamas Terrorists: IDF’s Big Claim After Israel’s Deadly Gaza Strike

A deadly Israeli strike in Gaza has sparked a major controversy after it killed an Al Jazeera journalist — with the Israeli military claiming the target was linked to militants.

The incident has raised serious questions about press safety in war zones, as well as competing narratives over who was actually targeted in the strike.

Al Jazeera has strongly condemned the killing, calling it a deliberate attack on journalism, while Gaza authorities say journalists continue to face increasing risks amid ongoing military operations.

On the other hand, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) maintain that their operations are aimed at militant targets, including members of armed groups operating within civilian areas.

In response to a question about a ceasefire in the Middle East. If a ceasefire in the Middle East holds, there will be no crisis in providing support to Ukraine. Of course, this is what we hope for. We also very much want an end to Russia’s war against Ukraine. At the very least, we need to take the first step – a ceasefire. I’ve always said that this is where we need to start.
