Putin is “removed” by people from his inner circle; authoritarian leader becomes targets of elites

Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski made a bold statement about secret political processes in Russia. The head of Polish diplomacy admitted that power in Russia could change in the foreseeable future. He stated this in an interview with the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera . According to him, the change of power in Russia will not be the result of elections, but rather due to certain active processes within Vladimir Putin’s inner circle. Sikorski emphasized that history shows that authoritarian leaders like Putin often become targets of attacks and plots by their own elites. And the wars they initiate often end under new leadership in the aggressor state. He also noted that for such regimes, ending a war without a clear victory can pose a greater threat than continuing it with any negative consequences. The Polish Foreign Minister also stated that, in his opinion, the Russian leadership, represented by Putin, is receiving a great deal of distorted information because the military is not communicating the true state of affairs to the Kremlin. As a result, he believes, the country is sinking deeper into a strategic impasse.
Earlier, expert Michael Naki outlined one of the most realistic scenarios for Putin’s “elimination.” As long as Putin at least acted as a guarantor of the oligarchs’ domestic security, they were willing to endure financial losses and the inconvenience of sanctions. When the Russian dictator weakens, they may try to replace him with a more suitable leader, Michael Naki reported. The head of the Kremlin may be overthrown in the near future, and no matter what method is chosen, one thing is certain: it will most likely be accomplished by those commonly referred to as the “Russian elite.” “The entire Russian elite has been trapped by Putin for the past four years (they can’t leave their country, their accounts are frozen, their children have been expelled from Western universities, their businesses are under sanctions). They tolerated this as long as they believed Putin could at least maintain stability within the country. If in 2026 it turns out he can’t even maintain this, some of them will simply have no choice but to try to change the face at the top ,” the analyst said. Naki emphasized, “It doesn’t matter how this is formalized: through a medical examination, an emergency meeting of the Security Council, or an arrest under the guise of a conspiracy. What’s important is that in this scenario, Putin is removed not by the street, but by the apparatus. And then any quick agreement with Ukraine and the West will be on harsher terms than they could be now.”
“You’ll say, ‘Michael, aren’t you fantasizing too much?’ Probably, and the timing of all this may be later, not in 2026, for example. But if it does happen, you’ll be the first to say, ‘How could you not see this?’ And historians will write the same way. I’ll cite Solovyov and Zyuganov here. After all, they’re the ones who keep talking about 1917. They, not me. These forks in the road are opening up now. Putin has found himself in a position where he lacks the resources to turn the tide of events in his favor,” the blogger concluded.

Iran Offers New Deal To Open Strait Of Hormuz

Iran has proposed a new deal through Pakistani mediators which outlines terms to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and end the war, with nuclear negotiations postponed to a later stage. Washington signals it may not send envoys to the next round of talks as Tehran’s newest proposal makes no concessions on the nation’s nuclear program, a key point for President Trump. FOX’s Eben Brown speaks with Brent Sadler, Senior Research Fellow with the Heritage Foundation, Naval Warfare and Advanced Technology, Allison Center for National Security, who says President Trump is trying to ‘avoid bloodshed’ by focusing on diplomacy, but that patience won’t last forever.
