Expelled Iranian Diplomat Criticises Milei For Aligning With USA and Israel And Threatens Argentina
Iran’s chargé d’affaires in Argentina, Mohsen Soltani Tehrani says the decision to expel him from the nation “does not benefit” his host country and “only makes things worse.”
In an interview given before his departure from Argentina and return to Tehran, the veteran diplomat criticised Argentina’s, for the time being, political participation in the Iran War.
“It is not a sovereign decision to join an illegal war against all international norms,” said Tehrani as he criticised the Argentine government’s alignment with the United States and Israel in the current Middle East conflict.
“It is not that we condemn Argentina for having relations or alignment with the United States or Israel. That is exercising sovereignty. What we criticise is that the President says Argentina is part of the aggression against Iran, that he is willing to send logistical support and that ‘we are going to win the war.’ That is something very serious,” said Soltani.
The Iranian official argued that this stance goes beyond rhetoric. “Even if they do not have the capacity to send troops, just saying it has consequences. The President’s decisions may bring consequences,” he warned.

Milei’s Government Expels Iran’s Top Diplomat In Argentina As Diplomatic Spat Between Argentina And The Islamist Regime In Tehran Escalates.
After Argentina designated the IRGC as a terrorist organisation, the Iranian Regime strongly condemned the Argentinian government for this “illegal and unfounded action.”
In response, Argentina’s government decided to declare Iran’s chargé d’affaires in Buenos Aires “persona non grata” and ordered him to leave the country.
The Argentine government additionally declared that Iran’s statement contained “false, offensive, and unfounded” accusations, and Milei’s administration indicated that the controversy “adds to Iran’s persistent refusal” “to cooperate with Argentine justice in the investigation of the AMIA bombing.”
Argentinian courts indicted high-ranking Iranian officials for the 1994 attack on the Jewish community center in Buenos Aires.
According to the official statement of the Foreign Ministry: “Argentina will not tolerate insults or interference from a state that has systematically failed to meet its international obligations and that persists in obstructing the course of justice.”
