There are growing concerns that Israel is about to launch a large-scale invasion of southern Lebanon, as the IDF says plans to expand its operations have been approved. Israel has been striking infrastructure there as part of its campaign against the militant Islamist group Hezbollah. meanwhile, an air strike in Lebanon has killed one person in east Beirut, according to Lebanon’s authorities. Israel’s military said it had been targetting a member of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps in the capital.
