According to the Wall Street Journal, citing two U.S. officials, the amphibious assault ship USS Tripoli, the amphibious landing dock USS New Orleans and roughly 2,200 Marines from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit will cross into U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) area of responsibility on Friday.
