Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) has opened a criminal case against Pavel Durov, accusing him of “aiding terrorism.”
The charge, widely seen as an attempt to justify Kremlin efforts to restrict or block Telegram in Russia, claims the platform was used to organize the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall.
According to Russian security services, Durov allegedly assisted terrorists because they discussed attack plans via Telegram.
Authorities are also seeking to link him to other high-profile cases, including the killing of Darya Dugina and the murder of General Kirillov.
In total, investigators claim Durov is connected to more than 153,000 alleged crimes.

A minor collision between two cars in Gurugram on Saturday allegedly escalated into a violent assault, with a retired Army colonel beaten with beer bottles, robbed of money, and later hospitalised. The incident took place in Haryana when 50-year-old Anil Yadav was driving alone from a private hospital in Gurugram after visiting his ailing father. According to his complaint, a car travelling in the adjacent right lane suddenly swerved left. Despite braking, his vehicle reportedly grazed it, triggering the confrontation.

Today is the 4th anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine
On Feb. 24th 2022, Russia launched an unprovoked war of aggression against its smaller neighbor
Months ahead of the attack, Russia made it clear it doesn’t recognize Ukrainians as a separate ethnicity and denies them the right to statehood.
Russia’s long-term goal is the same today as it was in 2022. It wants to eradicate the Ukrainian state, annex its territory and brainwash its children into growing up thinking that they are Russians.
They want to incorporate Ukraine’s military into the Russian Armed Forces and use Ukraine’s territory as a springboard for further military threats and pressure toward other parts of Europe, in particular the Baltic states, Poland, Moldova, Romania and Scandinavia.
In December 2021, the Russians sent over an ultimatum to NATO, writing that they demand all NATO forces to pull back their military infrastructure behind the old Iron Curtain border of 1989.
It’s high time for Europeans to realize just how dangerous a complete Russian victory in Ukraine would be for European unity and European security.
The cheapest and safest option for European defense is to arm Ukraine, share military intelligence and jointly adapt military measures not seriously considered so far.
What was supposed to be a 3-day “special military operation” has turned into a 4-year-long disaster for the Russian Army. More than a million of its soldiers have been killed, wounded or captured. The Soviet stockpiles of weapons built up over decades have been depleted. Most of its armored vehicles have been blown up.
Likewise, the Russian economy is on the ropes, plagued by low GDP growth, a widening budget deficit, depleting reserves, persistent inflation, very high interest rate, severe labor shortages, falling oil and gas revenues and deepening effects of western sanction.
Russia can be defeated, as shown in the Crimean War, the Russo-Japanese War, World War 1, the Polish-Bolshevik War, the Cold War and numerous other wars and conflicts.
It’s in NATO’s best interest to turn Ukraine into a “steel porcupine” and make sure that Russia can’t swallow it.
Putin currently shows no interest in real peace negotiations. Only more pain for the Russian Army and Russia’s economy can change his calculations and bring about an end to the fighting in Ukraine.
