Russian attacks on Ukraine’s energy system
Russian attacks on Ukraine’s energy system aim to cause a blackout. Military expert Oleg Zhdanov notes that the likelihood of this scenario is increasing due to problems with air defense. According to Zhdanov, the main goal of Russian attacks is to leave Ukrainians without electricity.

Situation with air defense
The situation with air defense in Ukraine is complex, especially in the context of missile defense systems. The expert emphasizes that under the current challenges, the probability of a blackout is becoming quite realistic.

‘This is what they aim for. The meaning of all these attacks is to leave us without electricity,’
– notes Oleg Zhdanov.

These circumstances raise concerns about the country’s energy stability.

In the context of the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, attacks on the energy system become an important element of the destabilization strategy. The absence of electricity can have serious consequences not only for the civilian population but also for the country’s critical infrastructure.

Energy security is clearly a priority for Ukrainian authorities, and taking measures to strengthen air defense remains a relevant task amid growing threats.
