Maduro said Venezuela is ready for talks with the U.S. on drug trafficking
Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro said the country is open to negotiations with the United States on combating drug trafficking and to cooperation in the oil sector, following several weeks of pressure from Washington.
At the same time, he avoided answering a question about a statement by U.S. President Donald Trump alleging a U.S. attack on port infrastructure in Venezuela. Asked to confirm or deny the claim, Maduro replied that “this can be discussed in a few days.”
