The Indian Navy formally commissioned its second MH-60R helicopter squadron, INAS 335 “Ospreys,” at NS Hansa, Goa, in the presence of Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi. Addressing the ceremony, Admiral Tripathi highlighted the induction of the MH-60R multirole helicopter as a milestone that significantly enhances the Navy’s maritime domain awareness, anti-submarine warfare, maritime strike, and search-and-rescue capabilities.
