Five dead in mine explosion in Ukraine

At least five people have been killed and two others injured in a mine explosion in a forest in the northern Ukrainian region of Zhytomyr, west of Kiev. Police reported on Facebook that a vehicle had hit an explosive device in a mined area in the border region, which then detonated. Five men aged between 19 and 65 were killed and two others were injured. Investigators’ photos also showed the destroyed wreckage in a wooded area – and a warning on a tree trunk about the danger of mines.
