ICE to Open Detention Center in America’s LARGEST Max Security Prison

Louisiana announced Wednesday, September 3rd, it will be working with US Immigration and Customs Enforcement to open a new detention center in the state’s penitentiary, nicknamed Angola. The notorious facility is America’s largest maximum security prison, housing 6,300 prisoners. The new ICE detention center within Angola is being dubbed “Camp 57” after Louisiana’s 57th governor, Jeff Landry. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem and US Attorney General Pam Bondi were both present during the announcement on Wednesday.
