I had a meeting with Prime Minister of Japan @shigeruishiba on the sidelines of the G7 Summit.
We discussed cooperation in the defense industry, investment in Ukraine’s drone production, Ukraine’s reconstruction, and Japan’s readiness to contribute to this effort. We also addressed a shared threat – Russia’s collaboration with North Korea and Iran – and exchanged views on how we can counter it.
I am grateful to Japan and the Japanese people for their support. I appreciate that on most issues, we see eye to eye. Together, we must build a robust security architecture in both Europe and Asia.
