The Los Angeles Police Department was led on a high-speed chase of a suspect accused of assault with a deadly weapon. Initially, the victim was able to follow the suspect and lead police to the location of the driver. Police units on the ground briefly lost the vehicle after heavy traffic impeded the chase but later caught up to the suspect and initiated a pit maneuver. The suspect was able to reverse the vehicle and restart the pursuit after a short standoff with police. NewsNation local affiliate KTLA was able to follow the pursuit from the air and saw the LAPD take the man who was driving into custody.
