The former CMC carbon black manufacturing plant on Wilson Industrial Road just east of Maryville is to resume operations next month as Maryville Carbon Solutions. As before, the facility will transform scrap automotive tires into petroleum-based powder used as a strengthening agent in rubber products. The operation is expected to create between 15 and 20 jobs.
