U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has elaborated on how Guantanamo Bay’s facilities could be used to enact U.S. President Donald J. Trump’s planned executive order that expands Guantanamo Bay’s remit to house criminal illegal immigrants. According to the secretary, this could include the temporary housing of other illegal immigrants set to be repatriated to their home countries.
