Even for an Assad supporter, this is horrendous. Sanctions didn’t prevent reconstruction, Assad did, by bombing cities. Sanctions didn’t prevent refugees from coming home, Assad’s threat to kill them did. The sanctions were against Assad. Now he’s gone. You supported him. Shame.
