Methotrexate depletes folate in your system. Folate is necessary for cell division. So taking folic acid is absolutely compulsory, it will not only help with the side effects, but keep you living and functioning. Take it absolutely as prescribed. I do get some nausea, and the MTX hangover. I find taking it with a big glass of cold water helps.
