As initially reported by Newsmax’s Carla Babb, 2 U.S. Air Force HH-60G “Pave Hawk” Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) Helicopters that were involved in search-and-rescue efforts for an American F-15E Strike Eagle downed earlier today over Southern Iran, were struck by Iranian surface fire, but the servicemembers are all safe, according to a U.S. official who spoke to NBC News.
