Armed Forces Operational Command (Poland): “On the night of January 31 to February 1, 2026, the Belarusian side once again attempted to conduct reconnaissance and test the response of Polish air defense systems. Objects resembling aerial balloons were detected entering Polish airspace.
The flights of these objects were monitored by military radar systems and did not pose a threat to the security of Polish airspace. The Operational Command of the Armed Forces of Poland remains in constant contact with relevant services and institutions and continuously exchanges collected data regarding the observed objects. The Armed Forces of Poland remain ready to carry out tasks related to ensuring the security of Polish airspace.”
