The U.S. has released two Russians from the tanker Marinera
Two Russian sailors have been freed from the Marinera, a tanker previously seized by U.S. forces. Earlier, Trump had promised to secure the release of Russian citizens.
In December, U.S. forces captured seven “shadow fleet” oil tankers off the coast of Venezuela for transporting oil in violation of U.S. Treasury sanctions.
At least six of these tankers have links to Russia. The Marinera oil tanker raised the Russian flag in the middle of the ocean after U.S. forces began pursuing it.

“If Zelensky is ready to meet with Putin, Russia invites him to Moscow. Russia is prepared to guarantee his safety,” said Putin’s aide, Ushakov.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said this in an interview with Ukrainska Pravda.
Asked about talks on ending the war held in Abu Dhabi with delegations from Russia, Ukraine, and the United States, Sybiha confirmed that two key issues remain unresolved: territorial questions and the future of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.
Russia is demanding the withdrawal of Ukrainian forces from the entire Donbas, including areas not occupied by Russian troops. Kyiv considers this demands unacceptable.
Ukraine is also insisting on the withdrawal of Russian forces from the plant, while the United States has proposed placing it under joint management with Russia.
According to Sybiha, President Zelensky is ready to meet Putin to discuss these two issues.
Zelensky has previously said multiple times that he is open to a face-to-face meeting with Putin, but the Kremlin leader has expressed doubts about the usefulness of such talks.— https://x.com/visegrad24/status/2016256555361173963

A Russian soldier returning from war in Ukraine spent months beating and slashing his wife and child with a knife, forcing them to seek help from a human rights organization, and then killed an unrelated woman in retaliation.
In Irkutsk, a Russian military man, who had previously mistreated his family, returned from the front and escalated his violence: physically assaulting, humiliating, and stabbing his wife and seven-year-old son.
Eventually, the wife and child sought refuge at a human rights center, which agreed to shelter them. Angered that his family was now out of reach, the soldier sought revenge.
He tracked down the center, kidnapped a woman there at random, threatened her with a knife, took her to his home, and strangled her. The victim, a mother of two, had no connection to his wife.
The man is now in custody, and investigators found drugs in his apartment.
