Political science candidate Yaroslav Teleshun, speaking on the FREEDOM TV channel, emphasized that the U.S. position and shifting dynamics in Europe will be pivotal to the outcome. According to Yaroslav Teleshun, Moscow must now decide on its next steps in the negotiation process. “Moscow must now make a decision and initiate one block of algorithms or another for further development,” stated Yaroslav Teleshun. He also noted that Russia presents a dual stance: while Moscow declares its readiness to come to the negotiating table, some elements of its proposals may conflict with Ukrainian interests. “On one hand, Moscow says it is ready to sit down at the negotiating table; some points suit the Russians, others do not,” added Teleshun.

Amid these developments, U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and businessman Jared Kushner may travel to Moscow for talks with Vladimir Putin in late January.
