Russia is using African mercenaries at the front as suicide assault troops

In recent days, Ukrainian soldiers and drone footage have shown African fighters in Russian uniforms advancing in attacks on the front line, and almost always being killed.

Footage has also emerged from the Russian side. One Russian serviceman filmed an African man named Francis with a Soviet TM-62 anti-tank mine strapped to his body. In the video, the soldier threatens him with an assault rifle and forces him to walk in an unknown direction, calling him “Can Opener.”

Africans are lured to Russia under the pretense of high-paying jobs, then coerced into signing contracts with the Defense Ministry and sent to the front.
