A Polish ambassador was attacked in Russia
Poland’s ambassador to Russia, Krzysztof Krajewski, was attacked in St. Petersburg.
The incident occurred when the ambassador arrived in the city to meet with local Poles on the occasion of Poland’s Independence Day.
Around noon, as he and the consul were walking to a Polish service at the Basilica of St. Catherine of Alexandria, they were surrounded by an aggressive group of Russian “activists.”
They carried anti-Polish and anti-Ukrainian posters and confronted the ambassador over Poland’s support for Ukraine.
“What started as verbal insults turned into a clear attempt to use physical force. That’s when the ambassador’s security intervened,”
Russian propagandists even filmed a segment about the incident, calling the attackers “true patriots” and labeling the ambassador a “terrorist.”

Germany’s Chancellor Merz says Ukraine will receive long-range missiles
He declined to give details on quantities or delivery timelines, saying “a certain level of ambiguity is necessary, especially for the Russian side.”
“We’ve been working intensively with the Ukrainian government for several months on projects we technically refer to as long-range support. The Ukrainian army will be equipped with these weapons systems,” the chancellor said.
