🇧🇷 The U.S. Border Guard (CBP) today announced that it has “conclusively determined that Filipe Martins, a Brazilian national and advisor to former President Jair Bolsonaro, did not enter the U.S. on December 30, 2022, contrary to claims by Brazilian Justice Alexandre de Moraes, who used an erroneous CBP record to justify his imprisonment”
The CBP also stated:
“We have removed the erroneous record from our system, are investigating how it entered our system, and strongly condemn its misuse to convict or imprison Martins”
Martins has been kept in prison and house arrest for 2 years after having been accused of having defrauded the immigration system by leaving Brazil undetected.
