The Trump administration has deported hundreds of suspected migrant gang members from the US to the Central American country’s notorious CECOT mega-prison. Bukele detailed the horrors of gang violence in El Salvador in the years leading up to his presidency, stating that alleged criminals have rights — “but not more than anyone else.”
