Tbilisi hosts concert to mark Charles Aznavour’s 100th anniversary

On January 21, the Rustaveli National Theatre in Georgia’s Tbilisi hosted a concert to mark the 100th anniversary of the legendary French Armenian singer, composer and actor Charles Aznavour, jnews. ge reports. The soloist of the concert was singer, composer, musician and music producer Arpine Ter-Petrosyan, known as Arpi Alto.

The goal of the event was to strengthen cultural ties between the Armenian and Georgian peoples.

During the concert, Aznavour’s most famous songs were performed. The concert was organized by the Armenian Embassy in Georgia. The UNESCO General Conference included the centenary of Aznavour’s birth on the list of anniversaries with which UNESCO will be associated in 2024-2025—with the support of more than 80 Francophone Ambassadors at UNESCO.

How the Trump Administration reshapes US politics from Day 1

New policies and pardons from US President Donald Trump. The second Trump administration officially began on Monday and it has been 24 hours of non-stop executive orders coming from the White House – but not only from there. Just hours after he was sworn in for a second term, Trump appeared on stage at a sporting arena in Washington DC filled with his supporters. That is where he signed his first series of executive orders in a piece of political theater merging a Trump rally with his presidential powers. He finished by throwing his pens into the crowd. Later, back in the Oval Office, he signed more orders. They included a sweeping pardon for around 1500 rioters who attacked the US Capitol four years ago, in an unsuccessful attempt to overturn Joe Biden’s presidential election victory. A victory that Trump has always publicly refused to accept.
