Georgia is interested in implementing specific practical steps and developing regional interaction, and proposes a trilateral cooperation initiative that involves engaging the three South Caucasus countries in various spheres, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said, according to Report.

During the 10th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission (IGC) on Economic Cooperation in Baku, Kobakhidze noted that the IGC meeting will contribute to dynamic cooperation between the two countries.

“It is a great honor for me to be in Baku today, a city that impresses us every time with its beauty and pace of development. I am glad to have the opportunity to become, for the first time, the co-chair of the 10th Georgian-Azerbaijani Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation. I am deeply convinced that today’s meeting will highlight new opportunities to expand cooperation between our countries to make the strategic partnership between our countries even more dynamic and fruitful,” Kobakhidze noted.

He also emphasized that regional stability is a key condition for regional development and sustainable prosperity.

“I am confident that through joint efforts, we will not only overcome all challenges but also take advantage of existing opportunities for even more effective cooperation. We are sincerely interested in taking concrete practical steps and developing cooperation in the region. Georgia proposes to the parties a trilateral cooperation initiative that involves engaging all three South Caucasus countries in various spheres,” he emphasized.

The Georgian Prime Minister also congratulated Azerbaijan on successfully hosting the 29th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP-29).

“I am glad that I had the opportunity to participate in COP-29,” he noted.
