Live from Prayagraj as millions of Hindu devotees gather in the north Indian state of Uttar Pradesh for the Maha Kumbh festival, said to be the largest religious congregation on earth.
Nearly 400 million people are expected to participate in the festival between Jan. 13 and Feb. 26 for a series of ritual baths at the confluence of the Ganges, the Yamuna and the mythical Saraswati rivers. Hindu faithful believe the holy dip will cleanse them of their past sins and end their process of reincarnation.
