This weekend, the 2024 College Football Playoff kicks off, featuring more teams, more storylines and a lot more money than ever before. Today on the show, how we got to this moment in college sports, and what could be next. This has led to sweeping changes in college athletics from how players are recruited to whom teams play against. They talk about the development of NIL, how conference realignment shaped the 2024 season and what the future could hold for amateur athletics. Rap mogul Jay-Z has been accused of assault alongside Sean “Diddy” Combs in an amended complaint filed Sunday, but his name is just the latest among several well-known people linked to the accusations against Combs.
Originally filed in October 2024, the suit named only Combs but now identifies Jay-Z as “Celebrity A,” who was accused of raping a 13-year-old at an MTV Video Music Awards afterparty, NBC News first reported.
The FAA has issued flight restrictions on drones in parts of New Jersey following several mysterious drone sightings across the state. Hamilton Township Mayor Jeff Martin tells NewsNation that the restrictions could improve communication, as they clarify that local law enforcement shouldn’t avoid acting against drones directly and instead report sightings to the FBI.
