EU representative for Foreign Affairs proposes to suspend political dialogue with Israel

The European Union’s outgoing foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, has proposed the bloc suspend political dialogue with Israel. In a letter to EU foreign ministers he cites serious concerns about possible breaches of international humanitarian law in Gaza. The foreign ministers are expected to discuss the proposal at their meeting on Monday, the last one Borrell chairs before ending his five-year term.
