Heavy rains triggered severe flooding in the Spanish town of Cadaques on Friday, sweeping away dozens of cars parked in a normally dry riverbed that turned into a torrent rushing down from nearby mountains.
The surging water carried the vehicles downstream, where they collided with a bridge, creating a blockage and worsening the flood’s impact.
The floodwaters inundated streets and scattered debris across the town, causing widespread disruption. So far there have been no reports of major structural damage or injuries. (Reuters)
