In a closely divided Senate where the Democrats hold the majority by just one seat, the 2024 election poses a possibility for the Republicans to reclaim power in the upper chamber. Republicans are favored in the Senate contests in West Virginia and Montana, while Democrats’ Senate candidates lead in Nevada, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. Last month, however, Senate Democrats announced they would spend money to help their Senate candidates in Texas and Florida.
