Hundreds of Ukrainian schools, businesses, embassies, and media outlets, including the Kyiv Independent, received bomb threats via email on Oct. 14, prompting evacuations. The threats were connected to a recent investigation by Radio Free Europe / Radio Liberty into Russian security services’ sabotage in Ukraine.
Hundreds of mourners in Lebanon gathered in a small village near Beirut on Monday for the funeral of ten people killed in an Israeli airstrike over the weekend. The coffins of the ten victims, out of a total of 18 killed in Saturday’s strike, were draped in Lebanese flags and carried to a local cemetery in Maisra for burial.
