Election official Sheila Smail said voting had gone smoothly thus far. “It’s been real steady,” she said. This year’s August Primary includes decision-making votes for Missouri State House of Representatives District 1, Nodaway County South District Commissioner, Nodaway County Sheriff and Nodaway County Coroner.

At 3:30 p.m., Nodaway County Clerk Melinda Patton said the election is running smoothly in the county, but that they’re helping redirect people to their correct polling places. She also noted in an email that some voters have been frustrated due to having to show photo ID to cast their ballot, not their voter ID card.
